Short story long: Hey Lover is a husband & wife team - Elena & Jesse - with 7 and 12 years of experience photographing and filming weddings. In that time, we’ve learned that the photos that people choose to hang on walls and treasure in albums, the videos that will be reflected on with laughter and tears come from getting to know our clients’ individual personalities and understanding how they see photography and videography as part of their day — being documentarians and blending in to allow for real presence and vulnerability, and then knowing when guidance is desired. This synergy of art and documentary is possible when we incorporate the mediums that inspire us creatively: combining sparkling digital images with our love for analog film , a 4k cinema camera and anamorphic lenses with authentic vintage super 8.

After nearly three years away, we are excited to be moving back home to Montreal next summer and will be taking bookings for Montreal weddings as of September 2026.
